Sunday School
Sunday school is offered to students 6th-8th grade immediately following the service. (Classes are off for the summer, as well as during the Christmas and Easter season).
Our curriculum is geared towards teaching students the Word of God, seeing Jesus Christ in all the Scriptures, and giving them a foundational understanding for how the Bible is one, comprehensive story about God and his plan of Redemption. The time also includes learning catechism questions and deeper tenants of the Reformed faith.
Youth Group
Plainfield CRC’s youth ministry is geared towards helping our Junior High and High School students grow in a deeper knowledge of our Triune God through his Word, the wonderful salvation that is theirs in Jesus Christ, and their place and value in his Church, the people of God.
Junior High and High School Youth Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 5pm-7pm, with breaks during the Summer months. The time begins with pizza and fellowship, followed by a joint game. From there, students move into teaching and Bible study, first together, then breaking up into small groups, organized by grade. During the break out session, students discuss the passage and teaching further, as well as pray with and for one another.
Child & Youth Safety
Maintaining a safe learning environment is a top priority. For this reason, all our teachers and teachers assistances are required to undergo a background check, as well as uphold Plainfield CRC’s Child Safety Protocol. For more information, please contact Pastor Caley, at cmeza@plainfieldcrc.org
